Welcome to the NNYLUG! We are a group of Linux users dedicated to promoting and supporting Linux as a viable operating system for home desktops/laptops, business workstations, and servers. We support Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) as viable alternatives to proprietary commercial software. We also encourage the adoption of free, open standards/conventions that make it easier to share knowledge and content, without requiring individuals to purchase expensive software simply to read e-mail attachments, government documents/forms, and business documents. We invite members of the communities in and near St. Lawrence County to join the NNYLUG to participate in our community outreach events.

By being listed as a primary contact for an interest area, you will be a valuable resource that members of the community can make initial contact with to ask for more information about the NNYLUG and how FOSS can fit their needs.
